“My…reality…ahaha…” I repeat his words, unable to hold back my own miserable-sounding laugh. “You ruined my reality, and now, you’re here…You’re here to ruin me again, and again, and again, Montgomery.”

Follow Mallory Umber as he reconnects with the man who made his high school days a living hell. He's been watching him from screens upon screens, obsessing over what could have been, but he isn't the one desperate to rekindle an old flame. 

Montgomery Anderson is a man who can't apologize chasing after a man who can't forgive or forget. He doesn't care. He wants what he wants, and he's going to take it.

CHARACTERS

MALLORY UMBER is a high school English teacher. Even at 31 years old, he finds himself slacking on his mental health. His diagnosis with Borderline Personality Disorder is a world away from him, because to him, it's enough that he deals with Fibromyalgia and ADHD.  

Back in high school, he was the perfect target. Visibly gay, cuts on his wrists, dyed black hair with white streaks, and both of his shoulders showing. He became the target of Montgomery Anderson all too easily, and now, that very man is entering his life again.  

MONTGOMERY ANDERSON is the all-American dream football star. Or is he? Still in his prime at age 30, the world that should be his means nothing when he's still leashed to his past. Underneath the plastic façade is an obsessive and antisocial man who can't get over the one he left behind.

He doesn't know what's wrong with him, avoiding honesty in his psyche evals like it's a cold. Why would he bother getting help when it's so much easier to find the person he's been missing all this time?
